A classy red.
We all have a favourite wine and mine is Malbec. This 2021 Malbec Golden Reserve is a stylish all-rounder when paired with sumptuous meals for any time of year.
Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec 2021 is produced from hand-picked grapes that are then made into a striking red which is a marvellous expression of this style of Argentinian wine. The grapes are sourced from old vineyards from Luján de Cuyo. This is the celebrated region responsible for elevating the perception of Malbec in the 1990s when the wine-sipping public discovered New World wines.
When selecting wine for winter celebration we tend to lean to those offering fullness of balanced flavours with tannins appropriate for rich food served in copious portions, and a wine which will look good in the glass. Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec 2021 does all the above.
This Malbec is aged for 12 months in oak barrels from where it derives hints of toasted bread and warming spice. There are floral aromas and plums on the nose followed by red fruits and soft tannins on the palate. The finish is full and lingering.
Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec 2021 works perfectly with roast beef and lamb as well as robust spiced dishes. It’s a lovely wine to open for guests or just for sipping while enjoying a good book. Allow it to breathe for a while before tasting with some savoury nibbles or at the end of a meal with a cheeseboard.
Trivento Golden Reserve RRP £16 is available from Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Asda, Ocado, and selected convenience stores.
