Have yourself a very Merry Christmas. Or should that be a Cherry Christmas? You could win €1000 euros this Christmas for doing what you perhaps love best: mixing a cocktail. Heering Cherry Liqueur has just launched a Christmas Cocktail Competition, in association with Difford’s Guide, inviting home cocktail enthusiasts to submit their ideas for a new classic Heering cocktail. As well as the winning prize, a runner up will win €500.
There are also equivalent cash prizes for two bartenders so if you know someone in the bar trade, tip them off. In addition, all four winners receive a signed copy of Simon Difford’s book.
Entry is free to anyone living in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, new Zealand, Spain, Thailand, UK and the USA and is via the link here with the closing date for entries being midnight (UK time) on 1st January 2024.
Heering Cherry Liqueur has stood the test of time as it was launched in 1818 and all the ingredients, including the botanicals, are natural. Heering is 24% ABV and this elegant Nordic drink is on trend; it’s delicious; it’s not overly sweet; and should be in everyone’s drinks cabinet.

“We’re looking for cocktail recipes of less than seven ingredients one of which must, of course, be Heering Cherry Liqueur. We’re looking for drinks made with easily acquired ingredients so that the cocktails can be replicated at home. We’ll be awarding points for the cocktail name as well as the taste and appearance of the drink. You need to submit an image showing the bottle. We’re looking forward to seeing what home cocktail lovers come up with. In short, we’re aiming to find the next Heering Cherry classic.”
