Glengoyne Distillery voted top UK by North American tourists
Whisky attraction is a Winner!
The Awards are run by CIE Tours, one of the largest carriers of US visitors to the UK, which revealed the results at its annual awards of excellence in Glasgow (Spring 2026). Glengoyne Distillery, one of Scotland’s top whisky creators and destinations, has won a tourism award based on ratings from North American guests, being voted a top UK attraction.
Now in their 14th year, the awards celebrate UK hoteliers and tourist experience operators who have been singled out by the 12,000 visitors who came to the UK with CIE Tours in 2025, and the ratings review 200 UK tourism providers.
Stephen Cotter, CIE Tours’ Managing Director, said, “2025 was another successful year for us with visitor numbers remaining strong despite the inflationary pressures on our partners and customers.
A major reason for this is the quality of experience our customers are receiving from our UK providers, as evidenced by a steady increase in the number of providers receiving a higher than 90% customer satisfaction.”

Glengoyne Distillery is often referred to as “Scotland’s most beautiful distillery”. Visitors can choose from an enticing selection of experiences including the Malt Master experience which includes a tour of the distillery, samples of five single cask whiskies, before guests take on the role of the whisky maker to produce their own Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky – a one-of-one creation to take home.
