This wine is made from Chenin Blanc grapes which are particularly popular in the Loire region of France, where they enjoy the clay and limestone soils which give the wines their flinty character. Chenin blanc grapes are known locally as Pineau de la Loire. This grape variety produces high-acidity wines from sparkling to dessert bottles.
