Gasm is a Welsh, family-run drinks brand and its offerings are a little different. Their canned cocktails are practical but above all they are delicious!
It began with Richard, a farmer from Montgomeryshire, and Sam, a cocktail lover from London. They wanted to make bold drinks with real flavour and natural ingredients.
In 2021 they took Gasm onto Dragons’ Den. The Dragons passed up on the drinks, but Peter Jones gave one bit of insightful advice. He said to put the cocktails in a can. So they did. The bottles stayed, but the cans helped Gasm expand.
You can now find Gasm in many of the best farm shops and artisan food and drink stores across the UK. The drinks are not mass-produced and that quality is evident. They are cocktail-bar grade and pleasingly full strength. They are made from sparkling wine and gin. Most mixed drinks are about five percent ABV, but these are around thirteen percent, and it shows.
The flavours are unique and taste just like a freshly mixed cocktail made by a skilled mixologist using juices he crushed just a moment before. Yes, a romantic notion but an accurate assessment of the taste of these alcoholic preparations.
Sloe Berry Gasm will be embraced by sloe gin lovers who will be delighted to have a longer cocktail option. Both flavour and colour are great. Perfect for a crowd or a quiet sip by the fire. Bags of fruit here.
Plum Gasm looks inviting before the first sip. The rich rose gold hue is attractive and offers the expectation of something a bit special. This cocktail is an infusion of gin-spirit and plum juice. It has a hint of sweetness and notes of citrus. It’s a winner and would be a lovely pre-dinner aperitif.
Gasm canned drinks are some of the best pre-mixed cocktails I have tried. There are a lot on the market but the folks at Gasm have got it right. I was even impressed with the packaging, their 3-can tubes being gift quality. The cans are slender and well-designed and just the job for entertaining at home or away. They are 100% recyclable and are quick to chill for the perfect pour!
I am impressed with Gasm drinks. They are unique cocktails done well. It’s attention to detail and confidence to do something a little different. Both packaging and contents are first class.
