Eco-friendly Cocktail from Dunnet Bay Distillers

Ready-to-Drink Holy Grass Vodka with Apple Tonic Launches

Dunnet Bay Distillers, the family-owned eco-friendly Scottish gin and vodka company, has launched a new ready-to-drink cocktail – Holy Grass Scottish Vodka with apple tonic.

The Wonders of the Wilderness can contains a refreshing, crisp apple tonic mingled with Holy Grass Vodka, named after the locally foraged botanical used in its creation. The vodka is made by Dunnet Bay Distillers, the UK mainland’s most northerly distillery.

This is not only a delicious cocktail but environmentally friendly too.

The recyclable can is labelled with uncoated, smooth matt, woodfree printing paper. The label is made with 5% apple waste from apple juice production and 95% FSC® certified pulp so is a perfect marriage with the drink inside the can.

As sustainable as possible

Dunnet Bay Distillers’ Environment Manager, Sarah Lyons, explains: “Aluminium is one of the most sustainable packaging materials, being a high grade, lightweight metal that is infinitely recyclable. We also wanted the label to be as sustainable as possible and chose paper over a plastic sleeve as direct printing was not available to us. This product therefore accords with our company’s environmental sustainability ethos which is a passion of ours.”

Dunnet Bay Distillers, run by Claire and Martin Murray and recently voted a Cool Brand by CoolBrands®, is known for its innovative spirits and for its sustainable ethos as it pays attention to every aspect of the footprint of the business including energy from solar, water management, packaging and recycling.

Featuring delicious vanilla notes from Holy Grass Vodka, offset with the zing of refreshing apple tonic, this 5.5% ABV drink comes in 250ml cans priced at £2.50 each or £30 for a case of 12. To buy direct, visit www.dunnetbaydistillers.co.uk
