Chateau Saint-Maur M Cru Classé 2021

Summer Rosé

saint-maur MWe have never had such a warm summer. It hasn’t done much good for our gardens but has been perfect for entertaining. Saint-M from Chateau Saint-Maur Cru Classé 2021 is the rosé to partner any smart garden party, lunch party or dinner party, and all al fresco!

Chateau Saint-Maur was founded in the 19th century. It is only 10km from trendy Saint-Tropez, nestled between the blue Mediterranean and the mountains of Massif des Maures. The estate is now owned by Roger Zannier and managed by his son-in-law, Marc Monrose. Chateau Saint-Maur is one of less than two dozen estates in the Côtes de Provence to be given the coveted Cru Classé accolade, acknowledging the quality of their rosé wines; they make up the majority of the estate’s production.

The climate in this region is perfect for the production of polished and iconic Provencal rosés. The warm summers fanned by breezes from mountains and sea create the best conditions for the cultivation of vines. This Saint-M cuvée is composed of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: clear, pale peach pink
Nose: summer fruits and delicate white blossoms
Palate: summer fruit, slightly floral, refreshing and light

Serve chilled, alone as an aperitif with canapés.   Works well served with salads, seafood pasta, grilled fish. Chateau Saint-Maur’s Saint-M makes a delightful spritz for a longer summer beverage.
