The winery was founded in 1989 by Félix Callejo. There is now a second generation of Cristina, José Félix, Beatriz and Noelia Callejo who continue the winemaking tradition. This Vino Fino de Guarda 2022 is a fine example of the range from the Félix Callejo stable.

The region of Castilla y León around Burgos in Northern Spain is known for its harsh winters and hot summers. The home of this wine is the village of Sotillo de la Ribera. The wines of the DO Ribera del Duero are mostly red. The most popular grape is Tempranillo, which makes up more than 90% of cultivation.

Tempranillo is a black grape producing medium to full-bodied red wines. Expect fruit to the fore.
