This Tesco English Sparkling Rosé wine is produced by the traditional method just like that famous French fizz. It’s great value for money and perfect for convivial celebrations in warmer weather. It’s part of the Tesco Finest range.
The wine is from the stable of the award-winning Balfour Winery. Co-founders Richard and Leslie Balfour-Lynn planted their first vineyards in 2002 on the beautiful Hush Heath Estate, and five years later, Balfour Brut Rosé 2004 became the first English wine to win a gold medal and the Trophy at the International Wine Challenge.
Classic Cuvée
They hand-harvest all grapes to ensure the highest quality, which are then aged on lees for more than a year. The grapes are Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir which is the Classic Cuvée. It offers apple and red berries, with fresh citrus and a toasted brioche finish.
Tesco English Sparkling Rosé from Balfour Winery displays pleasing acidity, making this a great choice for pairing with seafood dishes, and particularly those dressed with butter and cream sauces. Its prominent fizz makes this wine a good choice for pre-dinner sipping, too!
