Pink Diesel Rosé

Fuel the Summer.

pink dieselIt’s summer and we are all enjoying al fresco get-togethers and lighter meals with friends and family. New Pink Diesel Rosé is the perfect partner.

This delicate blush-pink wine comes from the beautiful region of Provence in the south of France. The sloping terraced hillsides are ideal for growing grapes, which they have done for centuries. The mix of clay and limestone creates a soil well suited to vines.

The grape varieties here are Cinsault which is prized for its heat tolerance, along with Grenache and Syrah. These are all hand-picked from a single source in Bandol between Cassis and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

Pink Diesel Rosé has shelf appeal. The minimalist white label sports a simple graphic of a diesel pump nozzle. It’s fun, bright and suggests this wine is designed to appeal to a crowd.  It’s a light-hearted introduction to a well-crafted libation. RRP £14.95, in cases of 6+, and in Magnums. It is also available in Jeroboam and Methuselah sizes.

One doesn’t have to dust off the passport to try a glass of Pink Diesel. It has been created by British entrepreneurs Amy Gatehouse and Marina Ayton. Some of London’s top bars have been stocking this refreshing, crisp and dry wine. It is a delightful drink for serving at a garden party or with warm-weather foods such as salads or grilled white fish.
