Dunnet Bay Distillers will launch its 2022 Rock Rose Gin Spring Edition (£37.50 for 70cl) in the first week of March.
The UK mainland’s most northerly distillery produces Rock Rose Gin Original as well as other variations and four seasonal editions, which are always eagerly awaited by gin lovers.
Rock Rose Spring Edition is a limited edition, hand-made batch of gin using ingredients foraged from the local area, on the pristine coastline of Scotland.
It is a cool, refreshing, hand-made spirit including coltsfoot, for sweetness; wild gorse flowers, which introduce a distinctive coconut note; and dandelion, which balances the sweetness with earthy, liquorice notes. Cardamom and water mint notes are enhanced to help balance the ingredients and bring an exciting freshness. The Spring Edition 2022 comes in a ceramic, wax-sealed 70cl bottle, a miniature 5cl bottle, or a 70cl fully recyclable refill pouch.
The recommended G&T serve is garnished with fresh coriander or gorse flowers. For an extra treat, tantalise the tastebuds further with the addition of Rock Rose Gin Liquid Garnish in Coriander and Lime, specially designed for Spring. The Liquid Garnishes are created by the Distillery’s on-site gardener, who cultivates many of the botanicals used in the spirits (£12).
