Hampers and Gin Cocktails for Mother’s Day and Easter revels
Mother’s Day: Sunday 14th March 20201; Easter Sunday: 4th April 2021
Celebrate Mother’s Day, Easter and the start of Spring with some delicious gin cocktails. We bring you some ideas from Brockmans Gin which beautifully combine the botanicals from across the world that gives this distinctive gin its elegant taste mingled with local seasonal produce.
First up though, if you can’t spend these Spring events as normal with friends or loved ones, is a gift that is rather more memorable than the ubiquitous flowers or chocolate egg.
For those who deserve something special, consider sending a hamper. Better still, a gin-themed hamper. Even better, choose the pick of the crop: a Brockmans Gin hamper.
The Limited Edition Brockmans Hamper contains a 70cl bottle of Brockmans Gin and 2 x 250ml bottles of Schweppes Tonic Water as well as a selection of barware. This is all encased in a black basket-work hamper, ideal for picnics or storage later. The hamper is exclusively available from at £145.00 including P&P (UK only).
That’s the gifts sorted out.
Now let’s turn to you. Often, cocktails are sweet which isn’t always what we crave. For a savoury take on gin cocktails, these concoctions make the most of new season carrots, coriander, beetroot and spring flowers.
BROCKMANS ‘WHAT’S UP BROCK?’
50ml Brockmans Gin
20ml Lejay Apricot Liquor,
25ml Fresh Carrot Juice
Fresh Coriander (Optional)
Add 50ml Brockmans, 20ml Lejay Apricot Liqueur, 25ml Carrot Juice and about 5 fresh torn coriander leaves to a shaker of ice cubes and shake vigorously.
Strain into a highball glass filled with ice cubes.
Garnish with the green stem of a carrot.
BROCKMANS ‘PURPLE SPRING’
50ml Brockmans Gin
45ml Beetroot juice
200ml Wild Berry Cider
Add 50ml Brockmans and 45ml Beetroot juice to a shaker and shake over ice. Strain into a stemmed Copa glass (bowl glass) filled with ice. Then top with the berry cider and give it a gentle stir.
Garnish with a very thin slice of dehydrated beetroot and edible flowers such as violas for a touch of Spring.
That should put a spring in your step.
