Apothic is a classy red, and has balanced tannins and acid. It’s dry, which is the key to its successful pairing with rich foods. It works particularly well with the aforementioned lamb as it holds up against that flavourful fat. Curry lovers will appreciate this rich red as well.

This delicious wine is a masterful blend of zinfandel, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and merlot, made from grapes from California’s Central Valley. There is plenty of dark fruit here with notes of spice and hints of oak and vanilla. It’s a well-structured wine and value for money.
