We bring you the latest serve in a series of cocktail recipes from the iconic Tamdhu Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery. For summer entertaining, try this refined, simple, and refreshing serve. Ginger and lime juice complement the smooth, exclusively sherried notes of Tamdhu. The drinks in this collection show just how whisky should be at your fingertips all year-round – in the shaker, or to be enjoyed neat. Whether it’s a summer’s day lunch or that special Father’s Day dinner, this recipe works well with either Tamdhu Distinction or Tamdhu 12-Year-Old. Traditionally created with mint leaves as a garnish, the suggestion here is the simple addition of a lime – or orange – wedge.
The Tamdhu Mule
50ml Tamdhu Distinction or 50ml Tamdhu 12-Year-Old
Dash of Angostura bitters
A squeeze of fresh lime
Highball glass and ice
Top with ginger beer
Garnish with a wedge of lime or orange
Method
Fill a highball glass with ice. Add the Tamdhu Whisky, a dash of Angostura bitters and a squeeze of lime juice. Stir and then top up with ginger beer. Garnish with the citrus wedge.
