The suggested serve this Easter is the Smokehead Paloma. This smoky serve is simple to create with just two ingredients yet tastes complex. Despite the simplicity, bold and complex flavour notes of Smokehead Original come through. This is a serve with attitude: it’s a bold, non-conformist riff on a classic Paloma with the intense smoke, spices, and coastal character of the whisky combining with the citrusy, sour notes of grapefruit to create a drink with backbone to accompany the smoky taste notes in barbecued food. It hits the spot, and each drink comes in at just 84 calories.
Ingredients
25ml Smokehead Original
Grapefruit soda
Method
Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour over the Smokehead and top up with a large glug of grapefruit soda. Garnish with a wedge of pink grapefruit.
Smokehead Original is an Islay whisky that delivers heavy woodsmoke and peat, honeyed sweetness, with notes of salt, seaweed and spice. Smokehead Original is a big, flavoursome spirit that stands out from the crowd.
If you are in one of the UK’s major cities, you might spot Smokehead on bus sides this Easter-time – a great reminder to drink responsibly and take the bus home if you have been enjoying a Smokehead cocktail.
