This was going to be a difficult review, I thought. Clawson Farms 1912 Stilton enrobed in chocolate! How was that ever going to work? Well, it did and I must say it’s one of the most imaginative and delicious review items I have enjoyed in a long while.

They are well-crafted and beautiful, so gift quality, but buy a couple of boxes because one taste will have you regretting not keeping them for yourself! Don’t tell the lucky recipient what these are made of as that might conjure a challenging vision. Allow them to savour the layers of flavour first. A sweet confection with a subtle hint of savoury and salty. The combination works in the same way as the ever-popular salted caramel. I think these are a must-try, and I would buy them at any time of year.
