Domaine Joël Delaunay ‘Les Cabotines’
Touraine Rosé.
Domaine Joël Delaunay is a family-owned estate in the celebrated Loire Valley. It has been in the family for five generations. Les Cabotines Touraine Rosé is from that wine-making stable.
The ‘Les Cabotines’ Rosé is produced from a blend of 70% Gamay and 30% Pineau d’Aunis grapes. Gamay has been cultivated here since the 15th century and is used in both red and rosé wines. The Pineau d’Aunis grape is less known and mostly found in this region, used in blended wines.
Tasting Notes
‘Les Cabotines’ Touraine Rosé is a pale and delicate rose hue. The nose offers fresh summer berries which is also evident on the palate. There is also a hint of peppery spice. Serve well chilled as an aperitive before a warm-weather lunch or dinner. It pairs well with white meats, salads and goat’s cheese.
