Cheese “Steak” Pizza

Sides: Serve with a spinach salad topped with a light vinaigrette. Dessert: Finish the meal with angel food cake, fresh strawberries, and low-fat cool whip. Wine Pairing: A firm-bodied wine such as Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with this dish.



1 tube (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust
1 lb 90% Nature’s Promise ground beef
1 small onion, sliced thin, separated into rings
3 tbsp mayonnaise
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese



Heat oven to 400°F.

Pre bake crust for 10 minutes.

While crust is baking, brown ground beef in large non-stick skillet over medium heat for 6 minutes. Add onion and bell pepper; cook until beef is no longer pink and vegetables are crisp-tender, breaking beef up into small crumbles. Pour off drippings.

Spread mayonnaise evenly on crust. Top pizza crust with beef mixture, then cheese.

Bake in 400°F for an additional 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
