Arrogant Frog is in the Pink

Rosé from Pays d’Oc.

The warmer weather threatens to arrive, and our thoughts turn to summer foods and more entertaining than we have done in months… or is it years! Arrogant Frog should be a guest at your table, and he brings Ribet pink Rosé.

Even the name raises a smile: Arrogant Frog! The stylish label sports the aforementioned reptilian dandy dressed in a shiny pink suit and sporting a French beret. He is all set for a convivial evening with friends. This rosé from the Pays d’Oc in the south of France is a humorous wine for a crowd.

Jean-Claude Mas (the Humble Winemaker) is owner of Les Domaines Paul Mas. He is a front-runner in winemaking in the historic Languedoc region of Southern France. It benefits from a warm Mediterranean climate and breezes from the coast which is only 10km away. Since heading the family winery in 2000, he has showcased quality grapes from twelve privately-owned estates and noteworthy growers. Château Arrogant Frog covers 20 hectares of vineyards in the celebrated Grand Cru Limoux.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: delicate pink
Nose: light and fresh aromas of summer fruit and blossoms
Palate: berries and cherries and garden flowers
Finish: medium long with lingering sweet notes

Syrah Rosé Arrogant Frog Ribet Pink is best served chilled. It makes a lovely aperitif but works well with light dishes such as grilled fish, salads and pastas. An interesting choice for a cheeseboard at the end of a meal.
