Plumpton Estate Brut Rosé is bound to be a crowd pleaser, and it is English, too. We have a good reputation for sparkling wine so buy with confidence.

Plumpton Estate Brut Rosé is a classic blend of Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and made using the Traditional Method. This trio is a popular one in the production of Champagne!

A portion of the Pinot Noir fruit is de-stemmed and crushed, then fermented on its skins for up to 5 days at 20-25°C. This is then pressed off and later blended in, to give the wine its pink hue. The rest of the fruit is hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, then fermented in stainless steel tanks at 12-15°C for around 2 weeks, to retain the delicate fruit character. Over the winter, the winemaker carefully crafts this signature blend. The wine spends at least a year ageing on lees, in the bottle.

Tasting Notes

There are notes of white peach, citrus and strawberries, with a hint of baked butter cookies. It is dry with balanced acidity, refreshing and crisp on the palate, with a fine persistent mousse, leading to a long and elegant finish. It pairs well with light dishes and seafood as well as fruity desserts. Enjoy with savoury canapés before Christmas dinner, too.

Sparkling English Wine.
