This certification covers white Chenin Blanc wines of various types, from eight villages scattered around the historic town of Vouvray. This particular Domaine covers the grounds of a medieval castle long since gone.

The vineyard comprises 23 hectares of flint and clay-limestone soils in the AOC Vouvray. Domaine d’Orfeuilles was founded in 1947 by Paul Herivault. This vineyard is now cultivated by Bernard Herivault and his son. They take advantage of both traditional methods and modern technology. Chenin Blanc is a popular white wine grape that has been grown in France for almost 1300 years. It is most commonly found here in the Loire Valley.

This wine is organically grown, and has a pale-yellow colour. On the nose it has plenty of flinty and grassy freshness. On the palate it has a crisp dryness with hints of stone fruit and citrus, making this the perfect choice for summer quaffing. Serve well chilled with light foods, white meats and fish.

Crisp and Dry Chenin Blanc.
