This Confetti Cake is only the second gluten-free cake to be produced by the Just Love company, after their award-wining gluten-free Happy Birthday Cake. That won first place in the Baking Industry Awards \u2018Free From\u2019 category in November 2023. That is quite an accolade, as competition is stiff these days.<\/p>\n

But what of the interior of that refined baked good? That doesn\u2019t disappoint either! I had a break from reviewing free-from products for a number of years because the baked offerings tended to be heavy and frankly unappetising. The industry has elevated this sector enormously and now cakes, puddings and pastries are indistinguishable from those traditional bakery items.<\/p>\n
This gorgeous cake is perfect for feeding a crowd. It doesn\u2019t scream \u2018eat me I\u2019m healthy\u2019. It doesn\u2019t have the persona of culinary deprivation. This is a proper cake with all the decadence one would hope for at the grand finale of any party. Vanilla frosting over three layers of light and moist vanilla sponge, with a plum and raspberry jam filling, is a winner. It is gluten free, milk free and nut free and is Just Love\u2019s first large gluten free celebration cake. It serves 16, so has enough impact to thrill the guest of honour! Nobody will feel short-changed.<\/p>\n
Just Love\u2019s Confetti Cake will retail exclusively in Waitrose stores at an RRP of a very reasonable \u00a316. This is a substantial cake and healthy competition for any pretty alternative.<\/p>\n
