Wrattonbully Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is great value for money, batting above its price point.

Cabernet Sauvignon is a cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. It originated in the Gironde in southwestern France. It has a history in Australia dating back to 1832. Now not only is Cabernet Sauvignon the world’s most widely cultivated grape, but Australia makes up 18% of the world’s plantings, that can be found in almost every wine-producing region in Australia.

Significant wine growing areas

Wrattonbully Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 hails from the Limestone Coast of South Australia where this grape produces some of the most celebrated wines. The region is found in the southeast corner of the state and is one of the most significant wine growing areas, producing nearly one-third of South Australia’s quality wines.

This wine is full-bodied with deep colour and complexity. It is rich in jammy black fruits with hints of cedar and fresh herbs. It pairs well with robust roasts, mushrooms and blue cheeses. Allow this wine to breath for a few hours before serving.

Find this and other wines that bear the ‘Tesco Finest’ accolade here

From the Limestone Coast of South Australia.
