Mandira moved to the UK with no cooking skills. She missed the tastes of home but spent the next 17 years working as a management consultant! Then, much to her parent\u2019s horror, she walked away from the \u2018proper job\u2019 and set up Mandira\u2019s Kitchen. \u00a0She started with supper clubs and catering from her home kitchen, before moving to their present location overlooking the Silent Pool (near Guildford, Surrey), where the company presents award-winning food, offers culinary experiences and cookery lessons as well as home delivery \u2013 and there is an on-site caf\u00e9 too!<\/p>\n

We enjoyed a complete meal for two, frozen and delivered conveniently packed for cooking right away or putting in the freezer for later. The portions were generous and thoughtfully divided so that each dish could be appropriate for one or two. Just use what you need for a solo dinner or a cozy meal for a couple.<\/p>\n

Hearty and made the perfect side dish<\/h4>\n

\"\"So, the delivery worked and the packaging was well designed, but what of the food? That was a delicious spread, and there was plenty of it. The Lemon Rice was well-seasoned and aromatic. The Samosas were some of the best I have ever tasted, with moist and tasty fillings and well-textured pastry. Palak Dal made with split yellow lentils was comforting and hearty and made the perfect side dish \u2013 although I wouldn\u2019t feel short-changed if I had this as a main dish as part of a meat-free meal. Butter Chicken would be the test. It\u2019s one of my favourite Indian dishes! Oh, the memory lingers: it was rich, delicious and addictive. The Mandira\u2019s Kitchen creation has less cream than many other restaurant offerings but was no worse for it. The flavour of the ingredients shone in vibrant fashion.<\/p>\n

Delivery is free on individual orders over \u00a375 and for monthly subscribers. Mandira\u2019s Kitchen delivers anywhere in mainland UK. Your meals will arrive in insulated boxes, which will keep your food at a safe temperature as long as it is transferred to the fridge or freezer on the day of arrival. Click & collect is free and orders need to be collected from the shop at the Silent Pool.<\/p>\n
