Published to raise awareness and funds for St Columba\u2019s Hospice Care, Generous<\/i> is about recognising the local people and hospitality industry in Edinburgh and East Lothian who have supported the hospice and its community over the years. The book features several household names, many of whom are local, who have each shared a favourite recipe for readers to recreate at home. You\u2019ll find a recipe for Normandy Tart by the iconic Dame Prue Leith; delicious and easy to make BBQ Pulled Pork Buns from Sir Chris Hoy; Carlo Contini\u2019s Spaghettini Sciu\u00e8 Sciu\u00e8 courtesy of Mary Contini OBE; and Corned Beef Stovies by Val McDermid \u2013 all contributed in support of the wonderful work done by St Columba\u2019s Hospice Care.<\/p>\n

Generous<\/i> is as much a cookbook as a recognition of the many wonderful people who give their time and effort to this charity while raising funds and awareness, whether they are staff, volunteers, or members of the public. The title of the book was chosen to highlight this supportive community, from pet owners whose dogs become much-loved visitors through the Therapy Dogs programme to Compassionate Neighbours who bring friendship and light into the lives of patients living at home \u2013 both of which you can find out more about in the book. To showcase their fantastic new book, St Columba\u2019s Hospice Care will be running a promotion from Thursday 7th<\/sup> September to Saturday 9th<\/sup> September<\/b> at Iona Caf\u00e9 at the Hospice.
