They were amongst the pioneers of modern Douro wines. In the 1990s they began producing Douro DOC wines from the same vineyards and indigenous grape varieties that had always made great port, and released the first Altano red in 1999.<\/p>\n<h4>Well-rounded tannins<\/h4>\n<p>The Altano reds are produced with grapes from Symington Family Estates vineyards. In a region of 21,400 farmers, the 26 Quintas are famed for quality. This 2020 vintage presents deep, dark red colour and offers rich red fruits, well-rounded tannins and hints of spice and black pepper. Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca are the grapes. \u00a0It can be enjoyed right away but will remain in perfect condition for a couple of years.<\/p>\n<p>Altano \u2013 Bewildering Edition 2020 is a classy bottle and perfect for Christmas.
