This fine Scottish gin recently invited top bartenders to express their creativity by concocting cocktails that perfectly represented this fine Scottish gin, brimming with botanicals and made with love.<\/p>\n<p>A cocktail called\u00a0\u2018My Heart&#8217; was a runaway winner. It&#8217;s seductively red, and so what better than My Heart as your Valentine&#8217;s Day cocktail recipe?<\/p>\n<p>To give it its Scots Gaelic name of\u00a0<em>Mo Chridhe,<\/em>\u00a0this delicious tipple is from a recipe by talented\u00a0Aberdeen bartender Ross Lawrie from one of the UK&#8217;s top venues, the Orchid Cocktail Bar\u00a0in Aberdeen. In devising this simplified version of his original recipe, he celebrates not only Scottish Gin but Scottish seaweed too: it&#8217;s a taste of the pristine British coastline from the most northerly mainland distillery in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Roses for Valentine&#8217;s Day are a bit of a clich\u00e9. But ROCK ROSE\u2026 now there&#8217;s a different take on the theme.<\/p>\n<p>Love and enjoy\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/collateral.prmax.co.uk\/collateral\/187912.jpg\" alt=\"A red heart shapeDescription automatically generated with low confidence\" width=\"45\" height=\"45\" data-imagetype=\"External\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/collateral.prmax.co.uk\/collateral\/187913.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"301\" height=\"375\" data-imagetype=\"External\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mo Chridhe &#8211; My Heart Cocktail<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients for one cocktail<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>45ml Rock Rose Gin Original Edition<\/p>\n<p>Half a ripe pear (cubed)<\/p>\n<p>Handful of raspberries<\/p>\n<p>25ml Lemon Juice (or to taste)<\/p>\n<p>20ml Sugar Syrup (or to taste)<\/p>\n<p>Small pinch of Scottish Seaweed &#8211; we used Mara<\/p>\n<p>Garnish: fresh rosemary<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Muddle the pear and raspberry in a cocktail shaker. Add all the other ingredients and vigorously shake for 10-12 seconds. Strain into a highball glass and top with ice and soda.
