For Halloween this year, Rock Rose Gin is recommending a spooky version of the classic cocktail, the Corpse Reviver.<\/p>\n<p>The original recipe from the 1870s was surpassed in the 1930s by the famous Harry Craddock of the\u00a0 American Bar at London&#8217;s Savoy Hotel whose Corpse Reviver 2 recipe is used as the basis of this creation, then adorned with a ghoulish garnish to add gore galore.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients for the Rock Rose Corpse Reviver<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>25ml Rock Rose Gin Autumn Edition<br \/>\n25ml Triple sec (or another orange liqueur)<br \/>\n25ml Lillet Blanc (or white vermouth)<br \/>\n25ml lemon juice<br \/>\nA teaspoon of sugar syrup<br \/>\nA dash of absinthe<br \/>\n<span class=\"x_Strong\">Ghoulish Garnish:<\/span><br \/>\nA few drops of grenadine syrup<br \/>\nTinned lychees or fresh lychees with the stone carefully removed<br \/>\nRed jam (strawberry or raspberry)<br \/>\nBlueberries<br \/>\nRed food colouring<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and then fine strain into a chilled martini glass.<br \/>\nUse a small spoon or a piping bag to put a little jam into the cavity of the lychee<\/p>\n<p>Then pop in a blueberry<\/p>\n<p>You can then use a toothpick to add some red food colouring around the white part of the eyeball. A few drops of grenadine to look like blood completes the effect.
