It’s not a recipe book but rather a sumptuous compendium of ingredients and dishes.

Feast Your Eyes on Food would be a welcome gift for any enthusiastic young cook. It doesn’t assume the reader is already an experienced home chef. It’s packed with a real wealth of culinary information which would inspire and give confidence to anybody who wants to learn more about what we eat.

Difference between ginger and turmeric

The illustrations add so much to the book. They make it easy to recognise the difference between a macaron and a custard cream. Easy, one might say, unless you have never encountered either. Perhaps more people would find it a challenge recognising the difference between ginger and turmeric. It’s all down to exposure to foods.

Feast Your Eyes on Food might be designed with younger folk in mind, but it would be a great support for even life-long cooks. The Fish and Seafood pages make a trip to the fishmonger a lot less daunting. The Dried Beans, Peas and Lentils section will be welcomed by so many of us who want to eat less meat.

Feast Your Eyes on Food: A Food Encyclopedia of More Than 1,000 Delicious Things to Eat is a tempting tray of foods to try. It’s a big culinary world out there and this book opens the first door to it.

Feast Your Eyes on Food: A Food Encyclopedia of More Than 1,000 Delicious Things to Eat
Author: Laura Gladwin
Illustrator: Zoe Barker
Published by: ‎Magic Cat Publishing
Price: £20.00
ISBN-13:‎ 978-1913520229

A Food Encyclopedia of More Than 1,000 Delicious Things to Eat This large-format book is fully illustrated with delightful watercolours of, as it says in the subtitle, more than 1000 […]

[20,24
3393,1276
post-18490","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-books","category-food-travel-guides","tag-feast-your-eyes-on-food","tag-ingredients
["GET
