The new range was inspired by the overwhelmingly positive fan response to wagamama’s cooking series Wok From Home, which was hosted by wagamama’s Global Executive Chef, Steve Mangelshot.

The show launched on social media in April 2020 just after the start of the first UK lockdown which saw over 10 million wagamama fans cooking katsu curry and other dishes from home and inspired a sense of connection and community during lockdown.

After seeing the positive impact off the back of Wok From Home, wagamama was inspired to promote the benefits of nourishing your mind and body through cooking and make it easier for people to do so. Positive eating, positive living has been a philosophy that the brand has long stood for and this is very much reflected in the new range.

Beyond this, wagamama has taken the decision to launch it’s cook at home range with a promise that ‘Every Bowl Makes a Difference’ – committing to donate all profits that wagamama make from the sale of the range in the first twelve months to YoungMinds.

Easy-to-follow recipes

The launch sees some of wagamama’s most iconic flavours hit supermarket shelves for the first time ever including: three meal kits (katsu curry, pad thai, chicken ramen), three stir fry sauces (teriyaki, firecracker and pad thai) and two curry pastes (katsu and raisukaree). Each of these come with a simple, easy-to-follow recipe along with ‘hacks’ on how to personalise them to your own taste.

The meal kits, pastes and sauces will be available at Waitrose from today (June 7) and will be followed by Morrisons (June 8), Sainsbury’s (June 16), Tesco’s (June 29) and Ocado (July 5).

wagamama CEO Thomas Heier said: “After seeing so many of our guests benefit from cooking along with Steve during the lockdown, we were inspired. We wanted to make it easier for our guests to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of cooking, long after lockdown. We hope our new range will help more people to do just that. Over the last year, we’ve worked closely with YoungMinds to support the important work that they do to make a positive difference to young people’s mental health and we will be donating 100% of wagamama’s profits for the first twelve months to YoungMinds.”

YoungMinds CEO Emma Thomas said: “We are facing unprecedented challenges for young people’s mental health and YoungMinds’ work has never been needed more. Our partnership with Wagamama has already been instrumental in helping us to reach more young people with advice, support and messages of hope and we are thrilled that wagamama’s profits from this exciting new range will be donated to YoungMinds. This funding will be a huge help towards accelerating our work to make sure all young people get the support they need, when they need it, no matter what.”

Designed to add flare and flavour to fresh ingredients – the range is made up of sauces, pastes and meal kits that, when added to fresh vegetables and proteins, make cooking wagamama at home quick and easy.

Meal Kits £3.30(Pad Thai, Katsu, Ramen)
Stir Fry £1.15(Firecracker, Teriyaki, Pad Thai)
Pastes £2.25(Katsu, Raisukaree)

Visit Wagamama here

wagamama launches new cook at home range with a commitment to donate all of their profits to mental health charity partner YoungMinds wagamama announces the launch of an exciting new […]

[3481,450
3154,2101,1804,3309,3308
post-18221","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-food","category-product-review","tag-charity","tag-wagamama","tag-wok","tag-wok-from-home","tag-youngminds
["GET
