James Martin&#8217;s creamy champ is perfect with sausages or pork chops.<\/p>\n<p>From BBC Food<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mostlyfood.co.uk\/Recipes\/champ_67444_16x9.jpg\" alt=\"Champ\" width=\"313\" height=\"179\" \/><\/h4>\n<p>1.35kg\/3lb potatoes, well scrubbed and left whole in their jackets<br \/>\n290ml\/\u00bd pint milk<br \/>\n85g\/3oz butter<br \/>\nsalt and white pepper<br \/>\n1 large bunch spring onions, finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Method<\/h4>\n<p>Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft. Drain and remove from the pan. Leave until just cool enough to peel. Mash thoroughly.<\/p>\n<p>Boil the milk and add to the potato, together with the spring onions.<\/p>\n<p>Season and stir well.<\/p>\n<p>Pile into a serving dish.<\/p>\n<p>Make a well in the centre and add the butter.
