{"id":15382,"date":"2014-10-01T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-10-01T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mostlyfood.co.uk\/?p=15382"},"modified":"2021-11-17T19:42:55","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T19:42:55","slug":"spanish-beef","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mostlyfood.co.uk\/index.php\/spanish-beef\/","title":{"rendered":"Spanish Beef"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Stop and Shop<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Serve the Spanish Beef over fluffy rice to take advantage of the flavourful juices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<p>1 2-1\/2 pound boneless bottom round roast<br \/>\n1 Tbsp olive oil<br \/>\n2 cups chopped Spanish onions<br \/>\n1 large clove garlic, minced<br \/>\n1\/2 cup sliced pimiento-stuffed green olives with 1 Tbsp olive juice<br \/>\n1 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes with juices<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mostlyfood.co.uk\/Recipes\/spanish%20beef.jpg\" width=\"194\" height=\"194\" \/><br \/>\n1 Tbsp dried oregano<br \/>\n1 tsp sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp pepper<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Method<\/h4>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>Cut beef into 1&#8243; cubes, trimming fat. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and quickly brown. Remove beef to an 8&#215;12&#8243; baking dish.<\/p>\n<p>Add onions and garlic to the skillet and saut\u00e9 in the pan drippings until soft. Reduce heat to medium.<\/p>\n<p>Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour over beef. Cover and bake for one hour or until beef is tender.<\/p>\n<p>Serve over rice.
