{"id":15297,"date":"2014-03-19T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-19T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mostlyfood.co.uk\/?p=15297"},"modified":"2021-11-17T19:50:52","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T19:50:52","slug":"beef-fajitas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mostlyfood.co.uk\/index.php\/beef-fajitas\/","title":{"rendered":"Beef Fajitas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Stop and Shop<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<p>1 lb boneless top sirloin<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mostlyfood.co.uk\/Recipes\/beef%20fajitas.jpg\" width=\"201\" height=\"174\" \/><br \/>\n1 can 4 oz chopped green chilies<br \/>\n1\/3 cup fresh lime juice, (about 2 limes)<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic, peeled<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp salt<br \/>\n1 tbsp oil<br \/>\n1 medium onion, sliced<br \/>\n1-2 cups green or red pepper strips<br \/>\n8 8&#8243; tortillas<br \/>\nAs desired: salsa, lettuce, sour cream, grated cheese, guacamole, sliced ripe olives, fresh cilantro<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Method<\/h4>\n<p>Place steak in a glass dish.<\/p>\n<p>Blend green chilis, lime juice, garlic and salt in a food processor or blender until smooth; pour over steak and cover. Marinate in refrigerator at least 3 hours, but not more than 48 hours.<\/p>\n<p>To cook steak: Broil or grill about 6-8 minutes per side. Cooking time will vary with thickness of steak. Internal temperature should be at least 145\u00b0F, for medium rare, 160\u00b0F for medium.<\/p>\n<p>Slice steak into thin strips. While steak is cooking, heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add onions and peppers and cook until soft.<\/p>\n<p>To serve: Warm tortilla according to package directions.
