They are blessed with the common denominator of great quality for the price. I could have my wine-tasting head turned away from my traditional wine merchant and towards this supermarket!<\/p>\n<p>Made by widely respected wine makers Larry Cherubino and Rob Merrick, this Co-op Irresistible Australian Chardonnay 2017 is worth a try. The weather is getting warmer and the prospect of a few meals in a sun-drenched garden is very appealing. We crave salads, light fish dishes and this could be the perfect wine for those soir\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<h3>A hint of acid from citrus and minerals<\/h3>\n<p>This Chardonnay is pale but its has bags of flavour. It is deftly and delicately oaked from staves thus avoiding the over-oaky wines for which Australia has sometimes been criticised. It has elderflower on the nose, but on the palate it\u2019s straight in with apples and pears and a hint of acid from citrus and minerals. A well-balanced wine for summer quaffing.<\/p>\n<p>This Co-op Irresistible Australian Chardonnay 2017 has an ABV of 12% and weighs in at a very respectable \u00a36.99.
