It all started out as a beekeeper’s hobby. Then Sarah joined in 2007 and so ‘Sarah’s Wonderful Honey’ brand was launched.

Pure honey is healthy and delicious just as it is, but Sarah’s Wonderful Honey offers a range of flavoured honeys that are versatile and perfect as spreads or in cooking. These are quality products and will likely fire one’s gastronomic imagination.

Plenty of berry flavour

I have tried two varieties of Sarah’s Honey. Sarah’s Fruity Acacia Honey with Mixed Berries had plenty of berry flavour but with sweetness from the honey. This would be a marvellous filling for cupcakes with, perhaps, a garnish of fresh blackberries and a dollop of crème fraîche for some tang.

The second flavour was Sarah’s Warming Honey with Cinnamon. Whilst the fruit honey is lovely on sizzling summer afternoons, this spiced jar will be welcomed in the remaining 8 cold months. This would work well as an ingredient in a spiced cake, adding both exotic flavour and sweetness without the need for refined sugar. It also makes a fantastic hot toddy when added to some whiskey (it should be Irish), a little lemon juice and hot water. You could really enjoy being under the weather.

Sarah’s Wonderful Honey range is a sweet treat, and healthier than some other culinary insurgencies. Great for baking, spreading and even drinking!

Sarah’s Zesty Honey with Ginger and Sarah’s Fruity Acacia Honey with Mixed Berries are both available at Sainsburys, RRP £2.50 and £3 respectively.

Sarah’s Wonderful Honey
Mileeven Fine Foods
Owning Hill
Piltown
Co.
