Here I am again with another meaty HECK product. This time it’s their Guy Porks sausages and I think they are one of the best sausages ever produced by HECK. Yes, I have said a mouthful and it’s a delicious one.
HECK’s banging bonfire night sausages with a toffee apple twist are a winner. They have the appearance of old-fashioned sausages when fried. The skins colour to a classic mahogany brown and the aroma is tempting. The flavour is both sweet and savoury and totally unique. They would work all year round and my note will be winging its way to the HECK Suggestion Box. I love these for breakfast as a sweet counterpoint to salty bacon.
HECK Guy Porks have been developed to give a nod to the traditional Bonfire Night toffee apple. The HECK team has combined lean British pork, diced apple and a hint of black treacle in this limited edition, gluten-free and dairy-free recipe.
The sausage sleeve offers an illustration of the wintery night sky and fireworks. They are the perfect Bonfire Night treat to pop into hotdog buns or serve as ‘sausage pops’ on toffee apple sticks. I have served mine with potato wedges and a homemade salsa dip. These will be loved by kids and adults alike.
